As I pointed in a another post, I am not enthusiast to Wikileaks and to social media benefits in the region. I come from MENA region, but I feel the need to write my reaction on how people and especially official mainstream media are dealing with Wikileaks content.

Let us start with this flash from Maghreb Arab Press, the moroccan official news agency:

Titled “Majority of Sahraouis support the Moroccan Autonomy Plan”, this flash in such an official media means that Moroccan officials give credit to Wikileaks content by using it to defend the Moroccan position on the Sahraoui conflict. Following this argument, the MAP is thus giving credit to other cables revealed for example by the Guardian and posted by Moroccan Bloger Larbi ,in the same time, ministry of communication has censured Al Quds and El Pais two days ago in Morocco because of reproducing cables from Wikileaks.

Simpler: MAP uses Wikileaks-> Wikileaks is then a credible source for Moroccan Officials ; Wikileaks reveal corruption among high Moroccan Officials-> MAP give credits to a website incriminating Moroccan officials -> Moroccan Officials admit they are corrupted. This Complete the proof. (btw, if you a makhzenist crap, you can give me a Godwin Point for this or whatever you want, thank you.)

In the same way, Algerian official media reported all cables incriminating Morrocan officials and avoided all the cables on Algerian regime!

I can’t go longer in this post, I may develop it further, but I want to put it clear : I do not give or not any credit to Wikileaks content, I do not yet have any opinion on its credibility. But just wanted to say this to official propagandas all over the world: you have got to make a choice : Wikileaks, you take it all, or throw it all!
