Widad Damia describes herself as “aged between 20 and dead.” She was born and bred in Casablanca. After a childhood marked by a morbid process of assimilation, she attended an Islamic school in Morocco, then a conformist school for girls. She now claims to be a lost sheep. She’s faithless and lawless and she is losing her identity. She prefers to roam as a vagabond among civilizations, while studying political science. With no particular purpose, she proclaims her atheism to those who don’t want to listen.
